A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 5928 Bethel Church Road, Gibsonville. Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery.
Cotton was born February 28, 1942 to the late Robert and Mary Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his sister, Frankie Pollard; brothers, Johnny and Bobby Hamilton; and daughter, Patricia Diane.
He is survived by brothers, Charles and Jimmy Hamilton; sons, Phillip Hamilton, David Hamilton, and Wayne Coltrane; daughter, Mary Hamilton Cecil; nine grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
