Charles Eugene Hearn

Charles Eugene Hearn, 90, went Home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, September 4, 2019.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at New Heart Community of Friends, 1201 Merritt Dr., Greensboro, NC with Pastor Jeff Bartolet and Pastor Jacelyn Jones officiating.  Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.

All his family and friends call him Charlie. Charlie was a devoted member of New Heart Community of Friends Church (formerly Hunter Hills Friends Church). He loved to sing and sang in the church choir. He worked as a painter and loved his job. He was a hard worker and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a loving husband and father.

Charlie was born in Gaston Co., NC to the late James and Lennis Hearn. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of sixty-four years, Beatrice Church Hearn and daughter, Patricia.

Charlie is survived by his daughters, Melissa Leonard, and husband Mike, of Greensboro, Janice Buie, and husband Chad, of Lexington; son, Dannie Hearn, and wife Melody, of Port Saint Lucie, FL;  grandchildren, Gene Leonard and wife, Jaymie, Mandy Leonard, and Matthew Hearn; and great grandchildren, Maeve and Caleb Leonard.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday, September 6, 2019 at George Brothers Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
