Craig Eugene Barker

Craig Eugene Barker, 65, of Greensboro, NC, passed away on July 21, 2018 after a battle with cancer. Craig was born in Greensboro, NC on November 20, 1952 to Hazel and Ralph Barker. He was a life-long resident of Greensboro and built a career around metal fabrication and his love of helping people with his skills. Craig was an avid golfer, bowler, hunter, and helper. Craig was a beloved father, brother, pawpaw, friend, and community member.

Preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Hazel Barker, and his daughter Ashley Barker. Craig is survived by his daughter, Leslie Nixon and her husband, Jeremy; son, Joe Barker; two grandchildren, Kendra and Christian; sister, Linda Sands and her husband Rick; and a host of loved ones.

The memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church (5585 Burlington Road, McLeansville, NC) on Sunday, July 29, 2018, at 2pm with visitation and reception immediately following. The family would like to express our thanks to Beacon Place Hospice and Palliative Care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests friends and family make donations in memorial of Craig Barker to Hospice Foundation of Greensboro (2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405).
