Elizabeth James McGee

Mrs. Elizabeth “Lib” James McGee, 68, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Wesley Long Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2019, at Sharpe Road Baptist Church with Rev. John Malek and Dr. Alton Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Westminster Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service at the church.

Lib was born October 9, 1950 in Guilford County to the late Marvin Oliver and Emma Evelyn Stewart James. She was a member of Sharpe Road Baptist Church and retired from Lucent Technologies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ray McGee and 3 brothers, Joe, Phillip and Sam James.

Survivors include her sons; Eric Garcia (Mary), Shane McGee (Ashley), Brian McGee (Karmen); daughter, Marcy Davis (Scott); grandchildren, Gavin Garcia, Mia Garcia, Garrett Garcia, Mason Davis and Alexander McGee; sisters, Iris Roof, Louise Purguson, Dorothy Davis and Brenda Sheppard and a brother, Don James (Betty).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sharpe Road Baptist Church, 1908 Sharpe Road, Greensboro, NC 27406.
