Elsie Eddins Renshaw

 Mrs. Elsie Josephine Eddins Renshaw, 98, enjoyed a glorious homecoming with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 18, 2019.

 Born in 1921 to Minnie Viola Eddins, Elsie spent her childhood in Chesterfield, South Carolina where she met her future husband Wilford Howard Renshaw through friends who were serving with him in the United States Army.

They married on April 4, 1943 and after the end of World War II moved to Greensboro North Carolina, where they became active members of Rocky Knoll Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, son Jimmy Renshaw and daughter Alice.

 She is survived by her son Terry Lee Renshaw (Cindy) of Greensboro, son Howard Leon Renshaw (Karen) of High Point, daughter Judy Rich (C.W.) of Morganton, daughter-in-law, Shelby Renshaw of High Point, 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren as well as a host of family and friends whom she loved.

 Elsie was a lifelong reader, word-search puzzle worker and gardener. She was active in her church having served on the pastor search committee for many years, as a Girls in Action and junior church leader and was involved in many other programs for the church. Elsie especially enjoyed her weekly beauty appointments and the time spent with her friends and family.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Rocky Knoll Baptist Church with Pastor Rodney Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am at the church prior to the service.
