Ernest Dale Shelton

Ernest Dale Shelton, 63, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, March 23, 2018.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 31, 2018 at George Brothers Funeral Service. A private burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-2 Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Dale was born June 29, 1954 in Guilford County. He was of the Baptist faith, was an avid sports fan, enjoyed coaching little league football and loved watching Carolina Panthers football. His favorite pastime was spending time with his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Harrison Shelton and Thelma Smith Shelton and by 2 brothers, Rev. Don Shelton and Gary Shelton.

Survivors include 3 sisters, Janice Shelton Edwards, Annette Shelton Mayo and husband Thomas, Regina Shelton Whorton and husband Jim; 2 brothers, Eldon Blaine Shelton and wife Vickie and Terry Anderson Shelton; and numerous nieces and nephews who cherish his memory.

The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to Dale’s good friend, Zody for all of his care and support shown to Dale during his illness.
