Gail Ennis Phillips Guthrie, 75, of Greensboro died Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.
Following her wishes, no service is scheduled.
Gail was born September 17, 1942 in Chatham County to the late Lewis Spinks Phillips, Sr. and Callie Lee Phillips. She was a graduate of Chatham Central High School in Bear Creek. She was a member of the Fair Promise United Methodist Church in Glendon, NC.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Lewis Spinks Phillips, Jr. and Charles Lee Phillips. She was also preceded in death by her faithful dogs, Tyson, Stacy, and Jenna.
Gail is survived by her husband, Roy Guthrie of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Tara and David Moore of Poquoson, VA, Teresa and Rob Elliott of Colfax, and Melissa and Steve Kinney of Browns Summit; grandchildren, Blair Garrison (Scott), Greg Harrell, and Morgan Kinney; brothers and sisters, Carol Wilson (Jerry) of Bear Creek, Riley Phillips (Ann) of Siler City, Gordon Phillips (Cathy) of Silk Hope, Susan Pav (Paul) of Valley Village, CA, and William Phillips (Teresa) of Siler City; sister-in-law, Pat Phillips of Siler City; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family that will miss her.
The family extends a special thank you to the nursing staff and physicians at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital for their support and compassionate care.
