Glenn Edward Sheppard

Mr. Glenn E. Sheppard, 72, went home to be with his Lord Thursday morning, August 9, 2018 at Wesley Long Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Sharpe Road Baptist Church with Dr. Alton Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Gilmore Memorial Park with Military Rites performed by the Randolph County Honor Guard.

Glenn was born June 21, 1946 in Stokes County to the late George William and Lettie Ruth Blair Sheppard. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was Co-owner and President of U.S. Truck and Trailer Sales. He loved hunting and fishing and was a member of Sharpe Road Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Brenda J. Sheppard of the home; 2 sons, Robert G. Sheppard and wife Christy of Julian and Brian W. Sheppard and wife Kelly of Hudson, WI; a brother, Richard Sheppard and wife Vicki of Bruceton Mills, WV; 4 grandchildren, Celeste, Hunter, Nathan and Jordan; and a great grandson, Thomas.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at George Brothers Funeral Service.
