Mr. Harvey Edward Parks, 94, of Greensboro, died Friday, August 25, 2017 at Carriage House Senior Living in Greensboro.
Funeral will be 3:00 PM Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Lankford Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will be private at Lakeview Memorial Park.
Mr. Parks proudly served with the United States Air Force during WWII. He was a member of Lankford Memorial Baptist Church where he had previously served as a deacon and board of trustee member. He retired from the Guilford County School System. Harvey was also well known for his love of raising all types of water fowl and other birds and for his love of wildlife.
Mr. Parks was preceded in death by his grandson, Stephen McAdoo.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Parks; daughter, Pat McAdoo; grandson, Kevin McAdoo and his wife, Katy; Norma McAdoo (wife of grandson, Stephen); and great grandchildren, Dakotah, Jeffrey, Travis, Michaela, Micah, and Kali.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm Sunday prior to the service at the church.
