Hazel Kaisinger Obituary

Hazel Lee East Kaisinger, age 91, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, surrounded by her three children, Steve, Vicki and Lisa.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Nettie Miles Pardue; granddaughter, Mitzi Boyd; great granddaughter, Lacy Joyner (LuLu); her husbands, Earl Kaisinger (2009), Bob Fox (1994) and Paul East (1996); three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include son, Michael Steve East of Greensboro; daughters, Vicki Warren (Danny) of Pleasant Garden and Lisa Joines (Darren) of Hays; granddaughter, Stephanie Joyner (Slade) of Monroe; grandsons, Joey Culbreth and DJ Joines, both of Hays; sister, Sandra Whitley (Rick) of North Wilkesboro; two step sons, Eric Kaisinger (Debbie) of Florida and Gary Kaisinger (Faye) of Texas; two step grandsons, Brian Kaisinger (Inez) of Julian and John Kaisinger of Garner; ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Hazel was always an active participant in her church, previously attending the Merritt Drive Church of God and more recent, the Cathedral of Praise. Prior to her declining health, some of Hazel’s activities and volunteer service included serving as a Prayer Partner for Christian TV (WLXI), traveling with the Church of God and the Jack Cates foreign missions teams to the Far East, South America and Jamaica. She was a passionate member of the Triad Adoption Support Group and volunteered as a North Carolina Search Angel, helping adult adoptees locate their biological family. She served on the board of the North Carolina Coalition for Adoption Reform and loved marching and demonstrating at our State Capitol for changes in the Adoption Reform. Hazel retired after 20 years of service with Proctor and Gamble.

She was a faithful servant to her church and to her Lord and welcomed the day she would be called away to meet Him. She was a friend and mentor to many people during her lifetime. The wisdom, advice and whit that she freely shared with people has helped encourage and inspire many. Hazel loved story writing and was known for writing true, and sometimes humorous stories pertaining to her life. Her family rejoices in knowing that Hazel is in the presence of the Lord…..and perhaps writing her best story yet!
