Jack Coble Obituary

Mr. Jack Farrell Coble, 86, of Greensboro passed away, Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Wesley Long Hospital, after a two week illness.

There will be a graveside service Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Guilford Memorial Park with military honors performed by the Randolph County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30-1:30 pm at George Brothers Funeral Service.

Jack was a veteran of the United States Army serving his country during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Southern Elevator after 24 years of service and also retired from UNC Greensboro, Physical Plant after 12 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard J. and Mollie May Coble; his brothers, Bill, Ralph, Ted, Arvel and Ross Coble; and his sister, Mary Gardner.

Survivors include his loving wife of 31 years, Jane of the home; his children, David Farrell Coble and Michael Allen Coble both of Browns Summit and Ronda Lynn Sowder (Bill) of Reidsville; a brother, Raymond Randle Coble of Kernersville; several very special nieces and nephews; neighbors and friends, including his auction friends; and his precious canine pal, Lexie.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
