Jack Simpson Obituary
Mr. Jack Winfred Simpson, 89, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Clapps Assisted Living.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Church with Dr. Marc Putnam officiating. Interment will follow in Westminster Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 pm Thursday, prior to the service at the church.
Jack was born May 20, 1928 in Guilford County and served in the Naval Reserve. He was a faithful member of Trinity Church as long as his health allowed. He graduated from Greensboro Senior High School and retired from UNCG after 30 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rilla Black.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Shirley N. Simpson; 2 sons, Ronald and Scott Simpson; 2 grandsons, Cory and Kevin Simpson; and a sister, Jane S. Carroll.
