Jean McClamrock Bass

October 3, 1936 ~ July 25, 2019 (age 82)

NORMA JEAN MCCLAMROCK BASS LEFT THIS LIFE TO BE WITH GOD ON THURSDAY JULY 25TH, 2019 OF COMPLICATIONS FROM A RECENT ILLNESS. SHE WAS A RESIDENT AT BROOKDALE ASSISTED LIVING IN HIGH POINT.

FUNERAL WILL BE 11:00 AM MONDAY AT CHRIST WESLEYAN CHURCH WITH BURIAL TO FOLLOW AT GUILFORD MEMORIAL PARK.

JEAN WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND OF MANY YEARS, JESSIE RAY BASS, AND HER DAUGHTER LAVERNE LOCKLEAR, WHO JUST RECENTLY PASSED AWAY. SHE ALSO WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER 8 SIBLINGS AND MOTHER AND FATHER.

JEAN WAS A LIFETIME MEMBER OF CHRIST WESLEYAN CHURCH WHICH SHE SO LOVED. SHE SPENT MOST OF HER LIFE HELPING OTHERS AND SERVING GOD IN A WAY HE IS EMBRACING HER FOR TODAY. SHE WILL BE MISSED IMMENSLY BY HER FAMILY WHO LOVED AND RESPECTED HER FOR ALL SHE DID FOR EVERYONE. HER LOVE FOR HER FAMILY WAS FOREMOST AS SHE ALWAYS LOVED THE FAMILY SOCIALS AND LOVED SEEING HER GRANDCHILDREN, GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN AND GREAT-GREAT GRANDCHILDREN. SHE LOVED HER BIRDS AND ESPECIALLY LOVED ALL HER GARDENS OF FLOWERS WHICH LIKE HER BRIGHTENED UP EVERYTHING AROUND HER.

SHE IS SURVIVED BY MANY LOVED ONES: SON, JERRY THOMAS (CAROLYN), SON-IN-LAW, ROGER LOCKLEAR. GRANDCHILDREN, IVEY SHANKLE, MATT THOMAS (ASHLEY), DREW THOMAS, MICHELLE LOCKLEAR, RENEE LOCKLEAR (JORDAN), GREAT- GRANDCHILDREN ASHLEY JACOBS (JOSHUA), GAGE BAYNES AND GREAT-GREAT GRANDCHILDREN JEREMIAH JACOBS AND AUBREE RAELYN JACOBS. ALSO, SHE HAD MANY, MANY COUSINS, NEPHEWS, NIECES AND THEIR CHILDREN WHO SHE LOVED DEEPLY. SHE ALSO HAD A SPECIAL PLACE IN HER HEART FOR HER GRANDDOG BUDDY. SHE LOVED HER BUDDY AS MUCH AS ANY PERSON AND HE SO ENJOYED HER LONG, LONG BELLY RUBS, SPECIAL TREATS AND SPENDING TIME WITH HER AT HER HOUSE WHICH HE DID A LOT. THEIR BOND WAS SO SPECIAL FOR EACH OTHER.

SHE ALSO WOULD LIKE IT BE KNOWN HOW MUCH SHE LOVED HER NEWEST FAMILY MEMBERS AT BROOKDALE ASSISTED LIVING IN HIGH POINT. SHE LOVED CALLING BROOKDALE HOME EVEN THOUGH SHE WAS ONLY A RESIDENT THERE A FEW MONTHS. THE RESIDENTS AND STAFF AT BROOKDALE WERE ABLE TO ENJOY THE GOOD HEART OF JEAN AND HER LOVE FOR PEOPLE, FAMILY, CHURCH AND MOST OF ALL GOD.

THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS 7-9 PM SUNDAY, JULY 28, 2019 AT GEORGE BROTHERS FUNERAL SERVICE.
