Jimmy Ray Parks

Mr. Jimmy Ray Parks, 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 3, 2019 at 2:00 pm at George Brothers Funeral Service with Pastor Marvin Patterson officiating.  Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.

Mr. Parks was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Sagie Harris Parks; sisters, Juanita McIntyre and Evon Long; and brother in law, John Barry Kluttz.

Jimmy enjoyed spending his time fishing, watching NASCAR, attending the senior dances all over the triad, going to his granddaughters ball games, and playing with and watching his grandson play golf.

He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Carter (Jesse), of Asheboro; grandchildren, Kaylee, Courtnee, and Connor Carter; sister, Peggy Welker (Bill), of McLeansville; sister, Linda Parks Kluttz, of Greensboro; brother, Charles Parks (Barbara), of Climax; several nieces and nephews; as well as many friends and family members whom he loved.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:30-2:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
