Joe K Miller

Joe K. Miller, age 87, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 30, 2018.  Born in Decatur, TN, November 10, 1930, he spent the majority of his life preaching God’s word and loving others unconditionally.  He was also a talented artist, musician and songwriter.  Each song he wrote was about one of the two loves of his life, his Lord or his surviving wife of almost 70 years, Evelyn.

He was preceded in death by his 18-month old daughter, Pamela K., in 1958, with whom he is now forever reunited!  He was a loving father to his three surviving children, Kelley (Kim) Miller of Hixson, TN, Terry (Kathy) Miller of Greensboro, NC and Tammy (Garry) Black of Garden City Beach, SC.  He was a proud PawPaw to eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

A memorial service, officiated by Pastor and dear friend, Paul Luttrell,  will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10th, at Gospel Baptist Church, located at 5945 N Church St, Greensboro, NC, followed by a time of family visitation and fellowship.
