John David Kilby

John David Kilby, died Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Moses Cone Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019 at George Brothers Funeral Service with burial following at Lakeview Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Kilby was born January 8, 1942 in N. Wilkesboro to the late Roosevelt Kilby and Geraldine Bishop.  He was retired from Rentenbach Constructors as a truck driver.  He attended both True Light Baptist Church and Plain View Baptist Church.  He enjoyed watching both baseball and hockey.

He was preceded in death by his former wife, Andrea Pickett, and grandmother, Addie Bauguess.

Mr. Kilby is survived by his sons, David (Dawn) Kilby, and Jonathan (Peggy) Kilby; daughter, Denise Kilby; sister, Barbara Cobb; grandsons, Dustin and Zachary Kilby; granddaughters, Courtney Funderburk and Magan Kilby; and great-grandchildren, Callia, Kaden, Kyler, Haylei, and Allena.
