Mr. Kenneth Lee Ruff, 73, passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 at his residence.
Kenneth was born February 12, 1945 in Salem, VA. Before retiring from Clayton Homes, he was the proud owner and operator of his own construction business where he could build a house from the ground up and would tell you “I drove every nail”. He was a former professional wrestler know as “Flying Ken Ruff”.
Anyone that knew him knew his value of respect and honor around women and children which is unheard of in this day and time. He loved playing and singing classic country music and taught many how to play the guitar. Every Friday night was “Pickin and Grinin” in “The Basement” with Kenneth, known to some as “The Godfather”.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Lee Ruff; 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon “Shay” Ruff; 2 daughters, Debra Ruff (Rodney) and Heather R. Key (Doug); a son, David Paschal (Tina); 3 grandchildren, Heather S. Key, Brittany Robinson and Josh Foyil (Cameron); 3 great grandchildren; Aiden, Owen and Kennedy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life gathering Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 3-5 pm at the home of David Paschal, 5209 Sweetwater Court, Greensboro, NC 27407.
