Leslie Edward Moore

Mr. Leslie E. Moore, 66, of Hudson, NY died in the early morning on Saturday, January 6, 2018 in Whitsett, NC.

He was formally a resident of both Tivoli and Hudson and most recently living in Liberty, NC. He was born on July 12, 1951. He attended the Tivoli Union Free School and Red Hook Senior High School. Leslie enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and regular trips to Chinatown.  He loved tending to his vegetable and flower gardens. Leslie devoted 25 years to the Tivoli Fire Department and was a Lifetime Member. He also helped establish the Tivoli Rescue Squad. He was retired from his longtime career as a Truck Driver for Metro North Railroad.

Leslie is predeceased by his parents, Harold E. Moore and Elizabeth H. Shook-Moore, and his wife Janet Currier-Moore.

Leslie is survived by his partner, Karen Miller; his son, Wayne Moore and his wife Melissa; two grandchildren, Lakota and Sebastian, of Tivoli, NY; and his daughter, Elizabeth Moore-Shanders, and her husband Bernard, of Marion, NY.

All are welcome to join the family for an informal gathering on Tuesday January 9, 2018 from 7-9pm at George Brothers Funeral Service to "Celebrate the Life of Leslie E. Moore, "Butch"; and also on Saturday January 13th from 4-9 pm at the Red Hook Community Center, 59 Fisk Street, Red Hook, NY.
