Margaret Haynes Kindley, 94, was born September 8, 1924 and passed away into the loving arms of Jesus the Christ on February 27, 2019
Born in Sugar Hill, McDowell County, NC to William S. Haynes and Ellie Haynes she was the 9th of 10 children. She graduated from Glendale Sr. High during WW II. Margaret worked at the Oak Ridge Labs in Tennessee as one of the “Atomic Girls” during WWII where she met her deceased husband, Aultman “Ken” Kindley. They were married there in April 1946.
She was a loving mother to two sons, Randall Kindley (deceased) and Marcus Kindley. She was a homemaker, office manager of her husband’s business, Kindley Electrical Company and retiree of Wesley Long Hospital.
She was a Sunday School teacher and active member of Sharpe Road Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Marcus Kindley and wife Barbara (Gay) Kindley of Greensboro; her grandson, Carter Aultman Kindley of Washington State; daughter-in-law, Evelyn Davidhouser Kindley, of Minneapolis, MN; sister, Mavis Rogers of Clemmons, NC and many nieces and nephews.
Her celebration of life will be held at Sharpe Road Baptist Church, 1908 Sharpe Rd., Greensboro, NC on Saturday, March 2, with visitation at 12pm and Service at 1pm. She will be interred at Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro, NC at a later date.
