Mark Eugene Hurd

Mark E. Hurd, age 47, passed away Saturday November 10, 2018 at Moses Cone Hospital from a massive stroke.

A celebration of Mark’s life will be held at a later date.

I lost my precious son, we had a love that was everlasting, and did not always agree on the same thing.  I only wanted the best for Mark since the day God gave him to me.

Mark was a great plumber by trade, and had many talents.  He built a beautiful bridge and a well house for his mother and father.  He loved life, and lived it to the fullest until an accident left him where he was dependent on medication to get him through the day.

Left to cherish his memories is his daughter Alaena Addison Smith; mother Brenda T. Hurd; sister Vickie Festerman and husband William; two nieces Brittany Waddell and Taylor Festerman; nephew  Trevor Festerman; two great nephews Tanner Waddell and LJ Grant; one great niece Addyson Waddell; uncles, aunts, and cousins; friends Robert and Emily,  and Bob Ruttledge and family.

He was preceded in death by his father Ernest Eugene Hurd; grandparents Lucillie Orender, Lethia and Jessie Hurd.
