Mr. Al Lee Pack
January 28, 1937 ~ August 21, 2017 (age 80) 80 Years Old
Mr. Alfred “Al” Pack, age 80, passed away Monday August 21, 2017 in Matthews, NC surrounded by his loving family.
A funeral service will be 2:00pm Saturday at George Brothers Funeral Service with Rev. Timothy Pack officiating the service. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery with military rites provided by Randolph County Honor Guard.
Mr. Pack was born in Stokes county to the late Jasper and Elizabeth Chaney Pack.
Al always enjoyed being in the outdoors and gardening. His joy of gardening was evidenced by his enjoyment of giving his home grown vegetables to many family members and friends. He was of the Church of God faith, retired from the electrical industry, and served his country honorably and faithfully in the United States Army.
Al is survived by his wife of 60 years Jane Pack; children Rev. Timothy Pack (Iris), Kenneth Pack, Kevin Pack (Chris), Kimberly Pack, and Jeffrey Pack; eight grandchildren Timmy Pack (Amber), Ken Pack, Jr. (Kristen), Kyle Cox, Morgan Pack, Taylor Pack, Abby Pack, Hunter Pack, and Cory Cox. Also surviving is a great-grandchild Haiden Charles King-Cox.
Mr. Pack was preceded in death by four siblings, Effie Jackson (Carroll), William Pack (Mildred), Roscoe Pack(Betty), and Yvonne Tilley (Terry).
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm Saturday at George Brothers Funeral Service.
