Mr. Billy Wayne McDaniel

Mr. Billy Wayne McDaniel, age 82, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday March 16, 2019 at the Hospice Home of High Point.

A celebration of life service will be 2:00pm Tuesday at George Brothers Funeral Service with Rev. Jesse Bledsoe officiating the service. The family will receive friends following the service.

Mr. McDaniel was of the Baptist faith, served in the United States National Guard for six years, and retired from the maintenance department of the Guilford County School System. 

He loved all types of outdoor activities such as golfing, boating, fishing, and sports activities. He enjoyed mentoring young people through coaching football and basketball, and was happiest on the beach relaxing.

Mr. McDaniel is survived by his wife of 59 years Brenda McDaniel of Greensboro; sons Larry McDaniel and wife Cheryl of Oak Island, NC and Gary McDaniel of Kernersville; sister Rebecca Saunders of Asheboro and Gayle Gonzalez of Texas.  He was adored by his three grandchildren Laura, Amber, and Dennis McDaniel.
