Mr. James M. Wilson

Mr. James M. Wilson, 91, passed away Tuesday June 13, 2017 at his residence.

A memorial service will be 2:00 pm Monday at Friendly Avenue Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends following the service.

Mr. Wilson was a member of Friendly Avenue Baptist Church since 1950.  He was a WWII Navy Veteran serving in the South Pacific, and retired from A&P Grocery Store, as manager, with 36 years of service.

James was preceded in death by his wife, of 69 years, Helen Yancey Wilson on May 16, 2017.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his daughters Gwen Newsome of Pleasant Garden and Jayne Bowman (Chris) of Julian.  Also surviving are four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Friendly Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund 4800 W. Friendly Ave. Greensboro, NC 27410.
