Mrs. Carolyn "Tweet" "Jackson Drew

Dear family and friends,

Thank you so much for your continued support, prayers and love through our journey this past year. It is with great sadness and peace that we wish to share with you the passing of our beloved wife, mother and friend; also affectionately known to close family members as “Tweet”, at 6:58am on Wednesday, February 20, 2019. 

Carolyn Jackson Drew was preceded by her mother and father, Ruth and Herman Jackson and brother, Lewis P. "Paul" Jackson and his wife Shelby Jackson. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Steven David Drew, her brother, Danny Jackson, children Jason Adam Drew and Laura Elaine Caballero as well as three grandchildren, Jacob, Ellie, and Caleb Caballero along with nephews, nieces, and cousins. 

She "fought the good fight," all while maintaining utmost positivity and perseverance. 

Carolyn was a graduate of Grimsley Senior High School and attended UNCG.  She was a certified educational interpreter for the deaf, which she used to faithfully serve her church community at Guilford Park Presbyterian for many years.  She also served as a United States Coast Guard Auxiliarist.  She worked at Ohio Casualty Insurance Co., Guilford County Tax Department, the Federal Internal Revenue Service, the Greensboro Police Department, and she retired from Guilford County Schools.

A funeral service will be 10:00am Saturday at Guilford Park Presbyterian Church, followed by a reception until 12 noon.  The committal service will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Guilford Park Presbyterian Church, 2100 Fernwood Dr. Greensboro, NC  27408.
