Mrs. Helen Jessie McGrady

Mrs. Helen Jessie McGrady, 79, went home to be with the Lord on Monday March 19, 2018 at Beacon Place.

A funeral service will be 12:00pm Thursday at George Brothers Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00am-12:00pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. McGrady was born in Rockingham county to the late Johnny and Margaret Madison Jessie.  She retired from Cone Mills after 42 years service.  She was a faithful member of Grace Gospel Tabernacle Church, where she loved sending cards out to those who needed encouragement.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert McGrady, and daughter Shirley Cole.

She is survived by her sisters Doris Jessie of Greensboro, Martha Jessie of Greensboro, and Linda Jones (Richard) of Jacksonville, NC; brothers John Jessie (Wilma) of Riedsville, and Rev. David Jessie (Lynn) of Rock Cave, WV; grandchildren Parrish Brewer, Danille Earls, David Brown, and Nicholas Cole; aunt’s Elenora Earls, Rachel Jones, and Audrey Madison; sister-in-law Avalene McGrady.  Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice & Palliaive Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Avenue Greensboro, NC 27405.
