July 8, 1925 ~ May 16, 2017 (age 91) 91 Years OldMrs. Helen Yancey Wilson, age 91, passed away Tuesday May 16, 2017 at Wesley Long Hospital.
A graveside inurnment will be 11:00 am Saturday at Alamance Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Wilson was born July 8, 1925 to the late Harry and Hazel Jefferies Yancey. She was a longtime member of Friendly Avenue Baptist Church, and retired from Sears after 22 years of service.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband of 69 years James Wilson of Greensboro; daughters Gwen Newsome of Pleasant Garden and Jayne Bowman of Julian. Also surviving are four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Friendly Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund 4800 W. Friendly Ave. Greensboro, NC 27410.
