Mrs. Shirley Friesland Carson

Mrs. Shirley Friesland Carson, age 80, passed away Thursday May 3, 2018 at Wesley Long Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm Sunday at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 pm at the church.

Mrs. Carson was born in Guilford county to the late Tay and Violet Lee Friesland. She was employed with the Bluebell Company for several years, and retired from Rehobeth United Methodist Church Preschool after 30 years of service.  She loved spending time with her family, dogs, and enjoyed working outside in her garden.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Charlie “Jack” Carson, Sr., and sister Dot McCuiston.

She is survived by her children Lisa Fleming (Chris) of Pleasant Garden, Charlie “Chuck” Jack Carson, Jr. of Greensboro; grandchildren Kelly Fleming, and Leigh Ann Fleming; sister Barbara Kallam

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Pleasant Garden Baptist Church, 1415 Neelley Rd. Pleasant Garden, NC  27313.
