Nancy McLean Greer

Nancy McLean Greer, 81, of Greensboro, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.

Funeral will be 3:00 PM Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Christ’s Way Church with Reverend Keith Kammerberg and Reverend Doug Huff officiating.

Nancy was born in Braintree, MA where she was a high school majorette. She also worked in the insurance and floral industry in North Carolina before working for Sears where she went on to retire.

Nancy was a loving mother and prayer warrior who adored her grandchildren. She was a former member of Ebeneezer Lutheran Church. She was passionate about her friends and church family at Christ’s Way Church where she is currently a member. She was a creative soul who often had a crochet hook in hand making countless afghans for Hospice and hats for babies and the homeless.

She is preceded in death by her husband, E. Claude “Red” Greer; parents, Charles and Ethel McLean; and brother, Richard McLean.

She is survived by her children, Dr. Paul B. Greer (Stefanie) of Virginia and Beth Anne Greer Collins (“Eddie”) of Fayetteville; sister, Beverly Gunther of AZ; grandchildren,  Parker, Palmer, Ethan (Aimee), Tyler (MiAngela), Kaleb, and Zoe; and great grandchild, Hendrix.

Mom, we will miss your silly sense of humor, contagious smile and laugh, and spontaneous spirit! -In Our Hearts Forever.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Sunday at the church prior to the service.
