Nancy Marlene (Harrelson) Johnson

Nancy Marlene Harrelson Johnson, 70, of Greensboro passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell.

Funeral will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at McConnell Road Baptist Church with Pastor Matthew Tilley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 pm, prior to the service at the church.

Nancy was born August 7, 1948 in Guilford County to the late Olin Lee and Annie Kathleen McDonald Harrelson and was a member of McConnell Road Baptist Church. She was best known for love of God, family and making pumpkin rolls. She was an avid Carolina Panthers Football fan, loved the Carolina Tarheels and enjoyed camping with her family at the beach. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include her husband, James Daniel Johnson III of the home; her three children, William “Russell” Bell (Tammy), James “Jamie” Daniel Johnson IV (Angel) and Christina Joanne Johnson Woods (Shawn); two brothers, Tommy Harrelson (Ann) and Harold Harrelson (Cappie); one sister, Joan Huerta (Sam); seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alamance Charitable Foundation, 1225 Huffman Mill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
