Rachel Baker Edwards

Mrs. Rachel Baker Edwards, 90, of Greensboro, passed away April 17, 2019, at  her residence.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Saturday at George Brothers Funeral Service. The burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.

Mrs. Edwards was born May 8, 1928, in Guilford County, NC, to the late Frank and Esther Baker. She was a member of Shining Light Baptist Church and owned and operated Model Beauty Salon in the Carolina Theatre. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Melvin Leon Edwards, Sr.

Mrs. Edwards is survived by her son, Mel Edwards; grandchildren, Joshua B. Edwards and Aaron B. Edwards; great grandchild, Kaden B. Edwards and her sister, Nelva Grace all of Greensboro.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
