Ron had other passions as well including coaching baseball with the Pleasant Garden Community Center and restoring midyear corvettes. He was blessed with a generous and caring heart. A man that never met a stranger, he was quick to help those in need. He also had a love for his God as evidenced by the way he lived his life. And Ron loved his family unconditionally being a mentor to his sons and a loving husband to his wife.
Ron is preceded in death by his father, Ronald H. Murphy, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Murphy; sons, Trey (Toya), Grant and Sean; mother, Carolyn Murphy; brothers, Jeff (Kathy) and Mark (Sabrina); and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends that will always miss him.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
Ron always had a relaxed and laid-back attitude, so to honor his memory, we ask that your dress attire on Sunday reflect your relationship with him. Keep in mind that his favorite color was green. That might mean a baseball jersey, car t-shirt, fishing shirt, hats, business attire or jeans.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to Operation North State by making your donation payable to Maria Murphy, c/o Pinnacle Bank, PO Box 489, Albemarle, NC 28002. Maria will be making a gift presentation to Operation North State in the near future.
