Ruby Christine (Hockaday) Neese

Ms. Ruby Christine Neese, 89, passed away Tuesday morning, March 12, 2019 at Hospice Home of High Point.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 11:00 am at Burnetts Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverend Ed Armfield officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Ms. Neese was preceded in death by her husband, Chalmer Neese; and sons, Michael and David Neese.

Ruby was affectionately known as “Grandma” to all that knew her.  She loved to cook for her family and friends and really enjoyed her flowers.  She had a special love for kids and small animals, especially cats.

She is survived by her daughter, Louise Wood (Jimmie); son, Sidney Jay Neese; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends whom she loved.

The family will receive friends following the service.
