Sharon Lee Wright

Sharon Lee Wright went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday February 10, 2019.  She was born in Lenoir, North Carolina on May 16, 1946.  Her parents Raleigh Stout and Nellie Lovins Stout predeceased her as well as sisters Carol King, Shirley Morrison, and Benita Burtner.

 
Sharon was married to Max Wright who passed in 2002.  Several years ago, Sharon retired from her labors as an in-home caregiver with Comfort Keepers. She was always known for going the extra mile and never failed to demonstrate kindness, gentleness, love, and respect to the elderly for whom she cared.  Prior to her work as a caregiver Sharon worked as a beautician for twenty-three years at the Evergreens Nursing Home.  She enjoyed blessing the elderly ladies there by styling their hair and lifting their spirits with her unfailing sweetness.
 
Sharon was well known for her tender heart and for having a soft spot for God’s little animals.  She was an incredibly loving wife, sister, daughter, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Sharon Wright is survived by siblings Nancy Bentley (husband Bill), Judy Stout, Linda Romano, Robert Stout, Lawson “Butch” Stout (wife Carol).  Her children are Danny Sparks, Teressa Clapp (husband David), Bryan Sparks, and DeLana White (husband Chase).  She leaves seven grandchildren: Tyler Clapp, Christina Sparks, Ian Sparks, Brandon Sparks, Jeremiah Jordan, Jade White, Jessica Clapp, and great grandson Easton Jordan.  Sharon also leaves behind her beloved dog, Kobie.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at George Brothers Funeral Service with Reverend Greg King officiating. The burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home thirty minutes prior to the service.
