Shirley Alberty Sizemore

In loving memory of our mom, grandma, and great grandma, Shirley Alberty Sizemore, 79, of Greensboro, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on August 7, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday at Shining Light Baptist Church. The burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.

Shirley was born May 22, 1940, in Guilford County, to the late Robert Alberty and his wife, Irene Overman Alberty.  She was a faithful member of Shining Light Baptist Church for 42 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wallace Sizemore and her brother, Robert Larry Alberty.

She is survived by her children, Phyllis Williams, Robert Smith, Janice Ryals and her husband, George, Mark Sizemore and his wife, Aimee and Cynthia Diaz; her grandchildren, Kyle Ryals, Stephanie Sizemore, Taylor Williams, Nicole Ryals, Brett Sizemore, Brandon Sizemore, Selena Diaz and Jose Santes; her great grandchild, Graham Ryals and brothers, William “Bill” Alberty and David Alberty.

The family will receive friends 6-8:00 pm Tuesday at George Brothers Funeral Service.

She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister.  Shirley was very loving and caring with all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. She always put her family before herself. She will be greatly missed by all.
