Whitney,Jennifer and family I was on vacation when I saw your Mom had passed . She was a very special lady in so many ways. I remember the first time we met . We often talked about our children and always talked about our grandchildren. Remember all the memories you all have and know this is not "good-bye but good -night".So fly high Susan. You all will be in my prayers.

Jennifer and family,
My heart goes out to all of you as you face the days ahead. Grieving the loss of a mother is such a tremendous feat, but I pray that your memories and your faith in God will give you strength. Your mom was always so proud of you, and I can only imagine how much she treasured her grandchildren. You are lifted up in my prayers.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Susan for many years from junior high school to adulthood with Jennifer and Susan teaching my children and once again befriending our entire family. Susan was truly an inspiring lady who love for life and yest for laughter always made a lasting impression. Jennifer and Whitney our prayers are with you and your families as you learn to live life again with our your mother as it is not an easy task but one that she would want you to do. Cherish each memory you have of your mother as that will help to sustain you through the grieving process. Whitney I have not had the pleasure of meeting you, but I know your mother lives on in each one of you.

Ms. Susan will be truly missed. I loved her like my second mother. I enjoyed our many trips and Sunday lunches together. She had a sweet smile and a kind heart and she loved the Lord. Her sweet voice is now singing in God's choir. Love you Ms. Susan.

I did not have Susan as a teacher at Southeast but whenever my daughter Taylor attended Sharpe Road Baptist Church Daycare Susan was the daycare director and I was going through a divorce and she talked and counseled me on more than one occasion whenever I would come to pick Taylor up. She really made me feel good about myself and heaven gained another angel along with my sister, Loretta Turner Whitesell who passed away March 5, 2017. Susan and Loretta are dancing in Heaven and feeling no pain. My deepest condolences to Jennifer and Whitney and the rest of her family.

Thinking of you at this difficult time. Your Mom was a wonderful person who will be greatly missed. I had a good time teaching with her. After her retirement I enjoyed having a continued connection with her through her daughter, Jennifer. She always was cheerful and made you feel important. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
