Wendy Kay Oxendine, age 51, passed away Saturday November 10, 2018 at Moses Cone Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Saturday at George Brothers Funeral Service. The family will receive friends following the service.
Wendy was born in Guilford county to Jervis Oxendine and the late Medlin Carol Locklear Oxendine. She was a graduate of Randleman High School and Brookstone College with an accountant degree. She began her career with Harleysville Insurance Company, and later was employed with Attorney Linda Hartwell and Oxendine & Son Roofing. She played an active role with the North Carolina Amputee Coalition, attended New Testament Baptist Church as much as her health allowed her too. She enjoyed being a foster parent, and was an avid animal lover, and had many beloved cats and dogs during her life.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her sister Debbie Parr (Steve); brother Ronnie Oxendine (Julie); nieces Kirsti Burrow (Zack) and Grayson Parr; and nephew Justin Oxendine (Kristyna)
