William L. Townsend

Mr. William L. Townsend, 71, of Pleasant Garden, passed away in his sleep Friday, September 21, 2018.

Funeral services will be 3:30pm Tuesday at George Brothers Funeral Service. The burial will follow at Pleasant Garden United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 – 3:30 prior to the service.

Mr. Townsend was a veteran of the United States Army and enjoyed hunting and farming and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy Fields Townsend; daughters, Kellie Townsend and Kim Townsend Varlichi (Danny); grandchildren, Brandi  (Tim) and Bradley ; great grandchild, Matthew; brother,  Ronald Townsend (Faye); aunts, Jeannette Taylor and Francis Whitt and nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many cousins and friends.
