William Wood, Jr. Obituary
Mr. William Lester Wood, Jr., 88, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 at 2:00 pm at George Brothers Funeral Service with Reverend Paul Ridolfi officiating. Burial will follow the service at Lakeview Memorial Park.
William was a member of Bunker Hill Primitive Baptist Church and served his country during WWII in the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Wood was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Estelle Melinda Jobe Wood; parents, William and Emma Wood; and seven brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his sons, William Lester “Chuck” Wood, III, of Locust, NC and Ronald Eugene Wood, of Matthews, NC; as well as six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
