Anna Jean Frye Browning, 90, died Wednesday, March 22, 2023.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Bethel Presbyterian Church, 300 Knox Road, McLeansville.

Anna Jean was born January 30, 1933 in Guilford County to the late Dewey L. Frye and Audrey Walker Frye.  She graduated from Greensboro Senior High School in 1951.  Anna Jean was a member of the American Legion 40&8 and Greensboro Moose Lodge #675.  She was employed as a bookkeeper with C. O. Blake and Sons and Dave Wright Accounting, as well as other various places. She was a loving mother and grandmother who had an extraordinary obsession with chocolate.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert "Bob" C. Browning, Sr. , and son, Charles Wayne Crabtree (Debbie).

Anna Jean is survived by her son, Robert "Robby" C. Browning, Jr.; grandson, William Browning; sister, Opal Elder (J. W.) ; brother, Michael Frye (Carolyn); nieces and nephews; and her adored cat, Flash.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at George Brothers Funeral Service.
