Mrs. Avonne B. Coley, 88, died Saturday, December 23, 2023.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 26, 2033 at Coble's Lutheran Church with the Reverend Jennifer Shimota officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Coley was born June 28, 1935 in Guilford County to the late James Boyd Bowman and Menty May Bowman.  She was a member of Coble's Lutheran Church and was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Ralph "Jake" Coley, and her daughter-in-law Jamie Coley.

Mrs. Coley is survived by her sons, James "Mike" Coley (Debby) of Eggleston, VA, and Dale Mannings Coley of Julian.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm-1:45pm at the church, prior to the service.
