Mrs. Barbara Bailey Taylor, age 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 30th, 2023, at Beacon Place.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm Sunday, October 1st, 2023 at George Brothers Funeral Service with Rev. Chris Davis officiating the service.  Entombment will be at a later date at Westminster Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Taylor was born, in Guilford County, to the late William and Jessie Harden Bailey.  She was devoted to her mother's care for many years. Barbara was a long-time member of Community Baptist Church and retired from Lorillard Tobacco Company with thirty-one years of service.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, of thirty-eight years, Thomas Hall Taylor, Jr. as well as two sisters and one grandchild.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her children Deborah Hodge (Donnie), Richard Johnson, and Kim Doby; sister Pam Kendall; brother James Brookbank; grandchildren Christopher Smithey (Jo), Jeff Johnson, Stephanie Wilson, Briana Quick, and Kristen Quick.  Also surviving are six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
