Mrs. Betty Jean Robbins Fields, age 89, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday October 4, 2023, at Friends Homes at Guilford.

A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Sunday, October 8, at Community Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Davis and Rev. JR Gossett officiating the service.  There will be a committal service 11:00am Monday, October 9, at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm – 8:00pm Saturday, October 7, at George Brothers Funeral Service.

Mrs. Fields was born, in Guilford County, to the late Ollie and Etta Morgan Robbins. She attended Sumner School and was as a longtime member of Community Baptist Church.  Betty enjoyed providing for her family, as a homemaker, through cooking family meals, being a master seamstress and making many wedding dresses, and being a master gardener.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years Clark Fields, Sr.; children "Junior" Clark Fields, Jr. and wife Ann Davis Fields, Roy "Allen" Fields, and Terry Fields; sisters Doris Wall, Carrie Jones, and Peggy Brown; brothers Carson, Richard, and Charles Robbins.

Betty is survived by her daughter Brenda Felts and husband Mark of Greensboro; daughters-in-laws Jill Fields of Burlington and Dolly Fields of Lexington; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
