Mrs. Betty Sumner Peeples, 89, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Philadelphia Baptist Chapel with Pastor Ryan Crowder and Pastor Joe Chandler officiating.  Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Peeples; parents, "Coy" and Annie Mae Sumner; and sister, Judy Strickland.

She was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Chapel and had retired from Southern Webbing Mills, Inc.

Mrs. Peeples is survived by her son, Timothy Peeples (Tammie); son, Greg Peeples; granddaughter, Cheyanne; great-grandchildren, Xavier, Xander, and Xane; brother, Leroy Sumner (Brenda); sister, Brenda Kinney (Astor); and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends whom she loved.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00-1:45 pm at the church prior to the service.
