Our precious son, Callahan Wayne Adams, was born sleeping on September 19, 2026, at 8:07 a.m., weighing 2.3 ounces.

Callahan was deeply loved long before we ever got the chance to hold him. From the moment we knew he existed, he was already woven into the story of our family. He was dreamed about, prayed for, talked about, and loved beyond measure by his parents, Ethan and Leigh Ann, and his big sisters, Emersyn and Hadley.

Though Cal's life was incredibly brief, the love surrounding it was anything but small. He made us a family of five. He gave Ethan and Leigh Ann a son and gave Emersyn and Hadley a baby brother they will forever carry in their hearts.

There were so many moments we imagined sharing with him: watching him grow, hearing his laugh, seeing his sisters love on and protect their little brother, and discovering the person he would become. While we will always grieve the lifetime of memories we didn't get to make, we will forever treasure the time we were given with him and the place that will always belong to him in our family.

Cal never had to know the worries, pain, or heartbreak of this world. All he ever knew was the warmth and safety of his mama and the unconditional love of a family who wanted him more than words could ever express.

We find comfort in imagining our sweet Callahan Wayne in Heaven—whole, peaceful, and surrounded by a love greater than we can understand. And until the day we are able to hold him again, we will speak his name, remember his life, and carry him with us in everything we do.
