Carla Sims Tucker, 64, of Greensboro went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.

A celebration of life service will be 7:00 PM Thursday, December 14, 2023 at George Brothers Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.

A native of Guilford County, NC, Carla was born to the late Ronald and Sue Sims. She retired from the Guilford County School system following eighteen years of service. She was a devoted Christian and attended Friendship Baptist Church in Level Cross. Carla loved visiting the mountains and spending time with family and friends at Baden Lake. She was compassionate, selfless and loved everyone she met.

Along with her parents, Carla is preceded in death by her in-laws, Donald and Ann Tucker and her nephew, Jordan Hodgin.

She is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Ray Tucker; sons, Daniel Tucker (Autumn) and Dell Tucker (Libby) and their children, McKenzie and Hayley; sister, Vicki Hodgin; brother, Todd Sims (Angie); nieces and nephew, Katie Beaver, Justin Beebe, Sara Sims, Holly Sims, and Maggy Sims; a host of extended family and friends; and her beloved chihuahua, "Lucy".
