Carolyn Henley Carter, 87, of Greensboro died Saturday, April 1, 2023 at AuthoraCare Collective-Burlington Campus.

Funeral will be 2:00 PM Friday, April 7, 2023 at George Brothers Funeral Service with burial to follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery on Groometown Road.

Carolyn was born in Guilford County to the late Paul and Kelsie Henley. She was a graduate of Sumner High School. She was a member of the former Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Carolyn worked for with Southern Life Insurance Company in Greensboro for almost twenty-five years.

Along with her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Carter; son, Rodney Carter; and sister, Laura Henley Perdue.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Kelsie Carter of Greensboro; sister, Betty Henley Pollard (Bill) of Boone; granddaughter, Lacy Jane Wade (Bradley) of Asheboro; great grandchildren, Shayann, Oliveah, Kaylynn, Taylor, Katie, and Brayden; sister-in-law, Peggy Saunders; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 PM Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
