Mr. Claude Thomas "Tommy" Derushia, Sr., 68, of Greensboro, passed away on March 29, 2024.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Tommy was born in Guilford County on September 1, 1955, to the late Claude and Frances Godwin Derushia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Heaven Derushia. He spent many years as a truck driver and was also a member of Aycock Fellowship Church in Greensboro. Tommy will certainly be missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie Heath Derushia; his daughter, Crystal Self (Paul); his son, Claude Thomas Derushia, Jr. (Maryanne); his five grandchildren, Daria Derushia, Skylar Self, Matthew Self, Jacob Derushia and Juliaette Derushia; his sisters, Rachel Newsoki, Kay Derushia and Carol Spencer and his brothers, Ronnie Miller (Sylvia) and Bunky Derushia (Vonda).
