Obituary

Connie Louise Eanes, 78, passed away peacefully Friday morning, February 17, 2023. Connie loved life, the Lord and others.  She didn't know a stranger and made friends everywhere she went. She was kind, caring, funny, and feisty!  She had many talents and interests. In her younger days, she was a model and hairdresser, then married and became a wife and mother and worked part-time at her son's Montessori school. After surviving a brain aneurysm, she cared for her granddaughters so her daughter could attend night classes. In her later days, she became one of the founding residents at Guilford House where she made many more friends. Connie enjoyed music and dancing, and trips to Tennessee, Ohio, Alabama, and Wilmington, NC to visit family. She called Ohio, West Virginia, New York, Michigan, and North Carolina home.

Connie was preceded in death by her mother Norma (Louise) Eagle Webb, father Denver Colorado Webb, second mother Grace Webb, special friend Paul Wilson, granddaughter Michelle Golden, and nephews Shawn and Kevin Spindle. Surviving is her son Jim (Whitney) Eanes III, her daughter Linda Golden, sister Sue Spindle, grandsons Sebastian (Jessica) Nord and Zachary Nord, granddaughters Lindsay (Luke) Golden and Rachel Golden, and great-granddaughters Saylor and Iris Nord, and Samara Golden Persaud, nieces Nicole (Scott) Johnson, Jillian Spindle and Tania Salinas-Diaz, great nephews Aidan Johnson and Matthew Walker, and great nieces Olivia and Sydney Johnson.

The family is grateful to the loving and kind caregiving angels at Guilford House and Authoracare Hospice that served as an extension of our family.
