Mr. Daniel David DeHart, 82, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024 at Forsyth Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Plainview Baptist Church with Pastor William Willard officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. DeHart was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Nellie DeHart; and brothers, Doug and Tommy DeHart.

Daniel loved to hunt, fish, garden, and spend his time in the outdoors.  He served his country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Louise Bowman; daughter, Teresa Hoover; son, David DeHart (Tammy); daughter, Tracey Kenechan (Richard); step-daughter, Kimberly Caudle; step-son, Michael Bowman(Shea); step-son, Todd Bowman (Patti); grandchildren, Kyle, Katie, Brandon, Kayla, and Kelsey; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald DeHart (Carolyn); brother, Gary DeHart (Edie); and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends whom he loved.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm at the church prior to the service.
