Mr. Donnie Lee McDaniel, age 67, passed away Friday January 13. 2023 at Moses Cone Hospital.

A graveside service will be 1:00pm Friday at Guil-Rand Memorial Park with Rev.  Jerry Walker officiating the service and Randolph County Honor Guard providing military honors.

Donnie was born, in Guilford County, to the late Joseph and Opal McBee McDaniel.

He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.  Donnie was the owner and operator of McDaniel Backhoe Services and served his country honorable and faithfully in the United States Army.

Donnie is survived by his daughter Katie McDaniel of Greensboro; the love of his life Carol Pegram of Greensboro and her sons Jerry Wayne Pegram of High Point and Scott Keith Pegram of Liberty; stepson Daniel Collier of Rhode Island; sister Lori Fulk (Lee) of Brown Summit; nephews Joshua D. Fulk (Yessica) of Kernersville and Andrew J. Fulk of Greensboro; niece Dymond  Fulk of Greensboro; favorite cousin/"brother" Jay McBee of Spartanburg, SC and many other extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project.
